We are a community church, founded over 170 years ago, by people seeking a place to worship, including two of Bloomfield's founding families.
We continue to serve on the same corner in Bloomfield, NJ today. Our congregation is made up of people from all ages and backgrounds. We love that our church family reflects the demographics of our area, and we are proud to call our community home.
Each week, we meet together for worship, taking time to sing spiritually encouraging songs, learn from God's word and spend time with each other.
What We Believe:
Our worship as a body is built upon confessional Christianity; the enduring truths that have defined our faith for thousands of years. Our core beliefs are expressed in historically relevant synopses such as the Apostles' Creed. As a community church in the Baptist tradition, which has never been affiliated with a denomination, we embrace the tenants of the London Baptist Confession as an overview of what we believe and teach.
Our sermons, Bible studies and other times of teaching are Christ-centered, emphasizing the richness of seeing Christ in all of Scripture. Together, we work toward a deeper relationship with God and an increasing level of Biblical literacy.
Care for people is an intrinsic value of our approach to ministry. It is the heartbeat of all we believe and the manner in which we communicate those beliefs. We believe that the Gospel has no fellowship with anything that divides, harms, or incites fear.

Our Worship Services
Each Sunday at 10:30 am, we gather for worship. Our services combine modern music and structure with a traditional confession of faith. We include Scripture readings, prayer, an interactive children's message and a message from God's word.
